Scared of Sharks?

Scared of Sharks? Why?

Media has given sharks a bad reputation. If you've seen the movie Jaws, the you probably know what we're talking about. Movies and other forms of media portray sharks as being human-hungry killers when in reality, that isn't true. From 2006-2010 there were 179 shark attacks in the U.S. and only 3 were fatal.

Sharks are thought of to be extremely dangerous killing machines, however did you know that in 1996, toilets injured 43,000 Americans, buckets and pails injured almost 11,000 Americans, room fresheners injured 2,600 Americans, and yet sharks only injured 13? And for every shark that kills a human, humans kill 2 million sharks

So just because you've seen a movie about a man eating shark, it doesn't mean that it's fact. Don't be scared of sharks, help protect them instead!
